Introducing (low-carbon) Domestic Retrofit workshops

We have a limited number of workshops that are fully-funded by (GMCA) Greater Manchester Combined Authority.

This is the first series of training being funded as part of the Retrofit Skills Hub - an initiative by GMCA with money from the European Social Fund. It will be delivered alongside a programme to train over 1,000 people to ensure the city-region’s homes and buildings are fit for a low-carbon future.

Led by North West Skills Academy, the other partners are The Retrofit Academy, The Manchester College and Oldham College.

Further details can be found here: "More than 1,000 people to learn retrofitting skills to help city-region achieve net zero future"

The courses are 100% discounted if you meet the criteria below:

  • Have at least a Level 2 qualification in a construction related field OR relevant experience

  • Greater Manchester Resident (living in one of 10 Greater Manchester Boroughs)

  • Individual(s) living outside of Greater Manchester but work for a business based within Greater Manchester (Business Registered / Trading address in Greater Manchester)

  • Individual(s) living outside of Greater Manchester but are working for a business with an operating/site address within Greater Manchester (this is a temporary address where work is taking place – for example the Site address, however the business registered or trading address is outside of Greater Manchester)
